Dress!

Did I post yet about how I want to wear a red dress to my wedding? I won an Ebay sundress, but it came today and is not going to work. Why do I keep falling into the empire waist trap? I cannot wear empire waists, or tent dresses, or anything of that ilk.

People who have seen me, how do you think I would look in this dress? I am nervous of spending so much $$ online, but I don't have a nearby Nordstrom's at which to try it on.

Maybe I just need to walk around to stores I can get to, but I do like this dress, although I am not sure it will go with the tennis shoes I was planning on wearing....

I would recommend not buying anything expensive that you're not sure about how it will look/fit online because while a return may seem easy, it's a procrastinator/busy person trap.
As far as the dress goes, I don't know how a halter top will look on you because they either accentuate your curves or make you look super skinny, depending on a lot of things. So, I would find an H&M or someother "giant we have everything" store somewhere near you and try on styles and hope you don't have to spend $100.

By the way, wearing a red dress = awesome!

There is a Nordstrom's at the West County Center in the Lou: You should go there and try it on while you're there....I would say that's the best bet, because buying clothing online is a dangerous bet...

I think you look hot in whatever you wear. That being said: maybe that dress is designed for someone with more in the boobage department? NOT THAT YOU DON'T HAVE EXCELLENT BOOBAGE. I'm just sayin'....

Red dress = awesome, me too!

Tennis shoes go with everything I say.

I would think you would look nice in empire waist, but no?

I sort of agree with Melinda. I think the dress is fabulous, and I love the red, but I'm not sure if I think it will work on you. Christopher is right about Nordstrom's in St. Louis. I would go to another department store in New York and try on a similar style before waiting to try it on here, though, just to see if you do like it on you, because department stores are notorious for putting stuff on their websites that they don't have in their physical stores. Maybe Nordstrom's is better than most, but Macy's sucks for that.

you are all so wise! Thank you for talking me down from the pretty dress. I still have lots of time so I am going to look around at actual stores more. And it is true, I do have nice boobage but it is not especially large....
